"Mexican Hats"

Meinzer's favorite flower to photograph is perhaps evident in this piece titled, "Mexican Hats". A very large reproduction of this print hangs in a prominent bank in Fort Worth and greets each visitor with the drama of how the light plays on these pretty Texas flowers. "Not a breath of wind was present when capturing this image", Meinzer says. "I get very excited when the light and the wind participate in a positive way so that I can use the optimal shutter speed to enhance each flower image I take. I'll walk any distance to achieve this goal, but let the wind start blowing or have the light change, and my energy is deflated... until the next opportunity presents itself." 12X18 canvas gallery wrap, stretched and ready to hang.
